The "European Entrepreneurship Awards", promoted under the STARTENT Project, aims to promote fundamental entrepreneurship within Europe and are intended primarily for students / future young entrepreneurs and new entrepreneurs.
The awards are divided in two categories:
Students/ Future Entrepreneurs | New Entrepreneurs | |
“High tech enterprises” - Business ideas developed by teams of Students/Young people from EU countries that exploit new technologies to generate new products/services and processes.. | "Transnational enterprises” - Business ideas developed by teams of Students/Young people from at least 2 different EU countries. | "Novos Empreendedores" - Business concepts from new entrepreneurial ventures (established less than 3.5 years before the date of the application) from EU countries. |

The awards will be presented at a public event in February 2011 called "Young Entrepreneurs' Night".
The STARTENT project resulted from a nomination submitted to the European Commission (call entrepreneurial culture of young people, entrepreneurship and education) by a consortium of 10 partners from eight EU Member States - Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Spain and the UK - and bets on the development of alternative resources for entrepreneurship education in higher education and simultaneously in developing mechanisms / systems to stimulate an entrepreneurial culture in Europe.
